Accessibility statement
Last updated: 24 June 2026We want everyone to be able to use the MOON Dog Shop, regardless of ability, assistive tools, or input devices. This statement describes the current state of accessibility and how you can report barriers to us.
Target standard
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA as well as the European standard EN 301 549. The MOON Dog Shop is largely conformant with these requirements: the core functions — viewing models, getting information, and pre-ordering — can be used without a mouse, with the keyboard alone, and with assistive technologies.
What we have implemented
- Full keyboard operation with an always-visible focus ring.
- A “Skip to content” link that appears before the navigation when tabbing.
- Text contrast that reaches at least a 4.5:1 ratio for body text.
- Meaning is never conveyed by colour alone: states also carry text, an icon, or an underline.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on mobile devices.
- The “reduce motion” system setting is respected; animations are then switched off.
- A clear document structure with correct heading hierarchy, landmarks, and labelled form fields.
- Meaningful alternative text for content-bearing images.
- An accessible mobile navigation menu with a focus trap, closing via “Escape”, and focus return.
Known limitations
Despite careful work, individual pieces of content may not yet be fully accessible, for example embedded third-party content such as payment or map services, whose design we can only influence to a limited extent. We review and improve these areas continuously.
Found a barrier? Let us know
If you notice any barriers or need content in a more accessible form, please get in touch. We take every piece of feedback seriously and aim to find a quick solution.
